Kehilat Kol HaNeshama

The Bible Study Center is part of the community's educational system, it has existed for 9 years and is taught by community member Esther Adelsburg. The goal is to provide members and outside participants with in-depth knowledge of the books of the prophets, which are usually less familiar to the general public. We study the books of the prophets in their broad, historical, social and religious context, and the messages that emerge from the text are revealed to be relevant to us today. The prophets' interpretation of the Torah is part of the spiritual-moral charge of the Reform movement.

The classes are held every two weeks in a "fun" atmosphere, according to the members. The group includes an average of 16-18 participants and is also open to people who are not members of the community. Studying together strengthens the social bonds between the members and allows them to discover the hidden gems in the biblical text, gems that may enrich our lives and strengthen our connection with the sources.

In addition to the Beit Midrash, every month or month and a half, as part of the Shabbat morning prayer, a special study of the Haftarah for that Shabbat is held. For this special study, we invite an outside lecturer or a member of the community who has studied the subject.
